Shop at the Region’s Largest Farmers Market at City Market

Farmers Market at City Market

Did you know that Kansas City is home to the region’s largest farmers market? It’s found at City Market and is open every Saturday and Sunday year-round.

More than 150 vendor stalls burst with delectable baked goods, locally grown produce, and so much more.

In fact, vendors include:

Living Dirt Ranch

At the Living Dirt Ranch, Ganesh and Debby want their beef to promote a lifestyle, not just a product. The cows roam on over 100 acres of rolling grassland and woodland, and the current herd is at 35 and growing.

Living Dirt is rated Step 5+ by Whole Foods Animal Welfare, which is the highest possible rating. You’ll find products such as chuck roast, t-bone steaks, and sirloin hamburgers.

Stephen’s Orchard & Apiary

Stephen’s is a small family-operated orchard and apiary that strives to offer quality products at reasonable prices.

Walt Stephen was a Kansas City fire captain for 30 years, and he established the business to keep busy during retirement. His wife and daughter also help with operations and they currently have 200 bee colonies and approximately 70 fruit trees.

Items at the market include honeycombs, raw honey, and beeswax soap.

Windy Ridge Greenhouse and Produce

Windy Ridge started from humble beginnings in 1984 as a sweet corn patch. Gradually, other vegetables were added, and the owners built their first greenhouse. They grow all of the vegetable plants from seeds, and the varieties are chosen for their taste and productivity.

Depending on the season, the selection may include eggplant, watermelon, yellow squash, and more. During the summer months, flowering annuals and perennials are also available.
