City Place at Westport apartments are just the thing for art lovers. Why? They are less than 20 minutes from a great institute of art. The one institution we’re thinking of is the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. In addition to its normal exhibits, it has much going on in the way of special events. Just take a snapshot of the museum’s spring calendar and you’ll see:
There are at least two special exhibits that will be taking place through May and a subsequent one opening up in April. The exhibits scheduled to run through May 2016 both opened up in late February. One is focusing on the Dutch Masters and the other is set to spotlight two dozen clay sculptures. The third exhibit, which kicks off this month, highlights black and white photography from bygone days.
Residents from apartments in Kansas City will have access to the museum every Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. They may expect to pay a minimum of $8 per parking spot and anywhere from $6 to $12 per person for a special event fee. The special fee also entitles them to roam throughout the rest of the museum until closing time. And sometimes, the museum even waives the event fee.
City Place at Westport Apartment residents should also note there is a restaurant located within the museum. It serves both lunch and dinner but advance reservations are generally needed, especially on special exhibit nights. Also, the museum’s restaurant frequently features live, musical entertainment exclusively for the dinner crowds. Therefore, it may be best to visit the special exhibits right before the dinner hour and then transfer over to the restaurant for repast coupled with a bit of revelry.
