You can also shop from Wayside Waifs’ Amazon Wish List. Your purchase will ship directly to the shelter. Requested items include treats, litter, and collars.
Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City
The Ronald McDonald House works to comfort families during a difficult time. It serves up to 87 families on any given night and provides a place to stay while their sick or injured children receive medical care. The friendly volunteers provide a supportive environment. They ensure guests have everything they need, and no one is ever turned away for their inability to pay. Donations go toward food, lodging, and other basic needs.
At Harvesters, the mission is to “feed hungry people today and work to end hunger tomorrow.” This nonprofit was established in the late 1970s after a group of citizens realized that nutritious foods were ending up in landfills as they were too close to their sell-by date to remain on store shelves. Today, Harvesters serves 26 counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Online donations help provide thousands of healthy meals every year. They also provide cleaning supplies to those affected by natural disasters across the country.
